Dr. Jacob De Hoyos is a pianist and educator based in New York City, serving as Professor of Piano at the University of Mount Saint Vincent. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University, his teaching combines a strong technical foundation with an individualized, thoughtful approach, guiding students of all levels toward confident and expressive musicianship.

Piano Teachers Congress of New York Adjudication

December 6 & 14, 2025, New York, New York.

Served as one of two adjudicators for winter student recitals, evaluating students from beginner through advanced pre-college levels across the New York City area.

Winter 2026 Studio Recital

March 8, 2026, Faust Harrison, White Plains, New York.

Presented a semi-annual studio recital featuring students ranging from age 7 through collegiate and adult pianists. Performers presented repertoire spanning from Bach to Debussy.

BWTC Baking With The Classics Concert

June 12, 2026, Bloomingdale School of Music, New York, New York.

Presented Baking with the Classics’ first independent concert ‘Mozart: Theme and Transformation’, a sold-out performance featuring works by Mozart, Clementi, and Czerny. The event included a tasting of traditional Mozartkugeln and a hand-crafted Mozart Torte and was featured by WQXR Classical Around Town.
